On her debut LP, Atheer riffs on the differences between what it means to "get stoned" in the US vs the Middle East, owning a gun in a Muslim family living in the deep south, and why you always need an anchor white woman to travel with.Yacoub explores themes of immigration, gender roles, and growing up in a Palestinian Muslim family in the heart of Alabama. The album features material written and honed by the New York comedian over 10 years while frequently headlining sold-out shows all over North America.
